When Miley Cyrus expressed her gratitude for her first Grammy triumph, she once again omitted her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
The 31-year-old singer won two significant honors on Sunday: record of the year and best pop solo performance for her song Flowers.
“This award is amazing,” Miley stated in her acceptance speech. However, I sincerely hope that nothing changes because yesterday was a wonderful day in my life.
She expressed her gratitude to “everyone on the stage, including Michael, Greg, Tyler, and Tom.” My mom, my sister, our teams, Crush, Columbia, my romantic partner, and my primary gays due of my attractive appearance. She remarked, “I don’t think I forgot anyone.”
Billy and her mother Tish Cyrus split up, and the former married singer Firerose—who is 27 years his junior—before the slight.
Miley later thanked Tish and her sister Brandi in an emotional Instagram post, but she once again omitted Billy from the message.
“To my family, my mommy @tishcyrus, I love you more than anything in the universe,” “My godmother @dollyparton, thank you for always being there. I felt your fairy dust everywhere,” she wrote on Twitter.
