In a general election tainted by armed group violence and a mobile phone service outage, Pakistan is tallying the votes. In order to choose representatives for the National Assembly and the four provincial legislatures of the country, more than 128 million people registered.

As soon as the results are available, they will be displayed below.

Pakistani voting procedures
Every voter is permitted to cast two votes: one for the provincial assembly and one for the national legislature.

There are 336 seats in the National Assembly; 266 will be chosen by direct election, and 60 seats are set aside for women and 10 for minorities. These seats are distributed according to 5% proportional representation in the federal parliament.

To establish the government, a coalition or a party will require 134 seats.

Distribution of national seats
The constituencies underwent a delimitation process based on the outcomes of the national census that was carried out in 2023. Many constituency boundaries were changed, and there were 266 seats instead of 272.

Punjab: 141 seats
Sindh has sixty-one seats.
45 seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Pakistan: sixteen seats
Capital Territory of Islamabad: 3 seats

Who are the front-runners to become the next prime minister of Pakistan?
Concerns over the integrity of the elections were stoked by a crackdown on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the largest opposition party, and its leader, former prime minister Imran Khan. The main parties in the nation are as follows:
Muslim League of Pakistan-Nawaz (PMLN)

Three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif made his four-year return to Pakistan in late 2023 to take over as party chief. His removal as prime minister in 2017 was the result of multiple corruption cases that have subsequently been dropped. In an effort to unseat Khan as prime minister in April 2022, Shehbaz Sharif, his younger brother, also served as prime minister for a brief period of time in coalition with significant opposition groups. In the event that the PMLN creates a government, it’s uncertain which brother will take over as prime minister, although Nawaz will probably be in charge in any case.
