Toni Braxton opened up about receiving a lupus diagnosis in 2010 and the subsequent changes on her work path.
The Twist of Fate actress discussed her health worries and her past struggles finding employment when she spoke on the most recent episode of the women’s health program SHE MD.
The actress acknowledged that having lupus may be extremely difficult before admitting that it took her “ten years” to receive a correct diagnosis.
Braxton said, “No one could figure out what was wrong with me. I felt like a hypochondriac.” I feel like no one is listening to me when I merely tell them, “I don’t feel well.”
Braxton went on to admit that she had “hidden” her condition for a while and that “I was ashamed.” in particular, performing.
