The caretaker government has launched the Pak Hajj Mobile App to facilitate the pilgrims, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
IT Minister Dr Umar Saif and Religious Affairs Minister Aneeq Ahmed jointly launched the application developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB). All the information about the Hajj operation will be at the fingertip.
Speaking on the occasion, Aneeq praised Umar for his part in the app launch: “Umar Saif’s help, the app would not have reached its completion.”
The mobile app is made in Urdu and English and will also add local languages before Hajj. It will work offline once installed, and to guide the pilgrims, short clips will be prepared and sent to them.
