According to News, Pakistan and Iran designated liaison officers to combat terrorism near their shared border.
The appointment of liaison officers was settled upon during the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister, according to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
The spokesman stated, “The appointment is part of the joint efforts to counter terrorism along the Pakistan-Iran border.”
Pakistan also stated that it aspires to create a “border of love and peace” between Iran and Pakistan.
