Prior to wrapping up his five-day trip to China, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Saturday that up to 1,000 students would be sent to the friendly nation for advanced training in the agricultural sector.
According to Radio Pakistan, the statement was made while the PM was visiting the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in Xi’an, China.
In addition, PM Shehbaz urged the Pakistani ambassador to China and other appropriate authorities to settle the issues with the Chinese authorities for the opening of a campus in Pakistan by China’s North West Agriculture and Forestry University.
The PM saw Pakistani goods at the Pakistan Pavilion and took a tour of the facility prior to the announcements. Additionally, he went to the contemporary plant production facility and supervised a vertical method demonstration.
Pakistan is making efforts to modernize its agricultural sector in order to boost crop yields per acre. One of our main priority is to increase agricultural exports, PM Shehbaz said the Chinese officials.
Additionally, a briefing regarding the operation of the Yangling Base was presented to the prime minister. He was informed that Pakistan was the first of 26 nations working together on agricultural research at the station.
He was also informed about experts and universities in Pakistan who are conducting research at Yangling Base.
Later, PM Shehbaz and his high-ranking group took a plane back to the nation.
