Frech, whose Angel City Sports foundation was awarded a grant by the P&G Athletes for Good program, recently turned 19 years old. His first Games competition, he was only 15 years old. In the long jump, he placed seventh, and in the high jump, fifth.
Frech broke the world record for the T63 High Jump in the 2023 World Championships, clearing 1.95 meters.
He told News that it would be up to him to win the gold this time around at the Summer Paralympics in Paris.
“The truth is, I just have to keep doing what I’m doing, and I’ll win the gold,” he stated. “I’m responsible for everything. It’s me if I lose this. Nobody else attempted to remove me from my side.
