The former star of “Laguna Beach” stated earlier this year on her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” that she doesn’t wear sunscreen and that she gets a lot of flak for it when she admits it during interviews. She questioned Dr. Ryan Monahan, her guest, about the advantages of sun exposure for health and “perhaps why we don’t need sunscreen.”
Host Jill Dunn of Dear Media’s “Breaking Beauty” podcast questioned her on those remarks on Wednesday’s show.
Cavallari clarified, “That conversation was really about the health benefits of the sun.” “The sun has certain health benefits. Vitamin D is obtained from sun.
That is unarguable. However, when I said that I don’t apply sunscreen, I really meant that it’s not a part of my regular skincare regimen. I’m responsible for that. I never once advised anybody not to use sunscreen. I was simply expressing what I do.”
When she goes on vacation, she claims to use caps and a tinted moisturizer with SPF.
