The Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah’s advisor and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed, was the former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI), and he would be penalized under the Army Act.
In response to Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed’s detention by the military, he declared that the former DG ISI was being court-martialed in accordance with the Pakistan Army Act.
He emphasized that this action strengthens the idea that no one is above the law and shows the Pakistan Army’s dedication to accountability among its ranks.
Rana Sanaullah went on to say that this behavior demonstrates that even senior officials are subject to investigation and, in the event of a conviction, punishment.He stated that Faiz Hameed has been connected to a number of accusations, including being the mastermind of the events of May 9 and other notable occurrences.
