The deadline for filing tax returns for the fiscal year 2024 has been formally extended by the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) to October 14.
In response to requests from various trade associations, Tax Bar Associations, and the general public, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to announce that the deadline for filing income tax returns for the Tax Year (TY) 2024 for those who must file by September 30, 2024 has been extended to October 14th, 2024. This decision was made in exercise of the authority granted under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
“To avoid penalties and legal action, all taxpayers are recommended to file their income tax forms immediately,” the FBR stated.
