GHOTKI: In the early hours of Monday, a passenger bus collided with a trailer truck on the Sukkur-Multan motorway close to Malook Wali hamlet, resulting in at least eight fatalities and seven injuries.
The unfortunate bus, according to the Motorway Police, was headed from Mansehra to Karachi.
Four of the injured, including women and children, were listed by the police as being in critical condition.
Tehsil Hospital Ghotki received the dead and injured for medico-legal procedures and medical care, respectively.
Noor Elahi, Shagufta, Rozina, Uneeba, and Hasnat were among the deceased, whose bodies were being held at the hospital, according to the first report. The police also stated that the deceased’s heirs were not present.
