KARACHI: Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda stated on Saturday that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was “Buzdar II”.
Speaking with journalists in Karachi, Vawda compared Maryam to previous Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, who was chastised by political adversaries for alleged misgovernance in the province.
Buzdar was elected as Punjab chief minister at the request of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, amid resistance within his party.
In response to PTI founder Imran Khan’s criticism of the system, he stated that he had previously attempted to persuade Khan, but he did not comprehend. He stated it would be preferable if the PTI founder established a government on the moon.
“I would still like to request the PTI founder to shun the politics of ‘Maula Jutt’ and find a democratic way out,” he said, adding that the culprits in the May 9 occurrences would not be spared no matter what.
Vawda claimed he was removed from the party for expressing the truth at a time when the PTI was at its most popular.
The former federal minister forecast trouble for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur following Ramadan.
When he announced his intention to run for Senate, he stated that the outcome was up to Allah, as he had previously served as an MNA, federal minister, and senator. He admitted that horse trafficking was a true phenomena in Pakistani politics, but he couldn’t say it with certainty.
