KARACHI: During Tuesday night’s August 14 celebrations in Karachi, over 70 individuals were hurt by gunfire from the air in various locations, rescue sources said Geo News.
At the stroke of midnight, protestors celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day by firing from the air.
According to the sources, injured people were transported from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lyari, Malir, Old Golimar, Korangi, Jamshed Quarter, and Mauripur Road.
According to the sources, the occurrences happened in Old Golimar, Nazimabad, Sharifabad, Lyari, Pak Colony, Akhtar Colony, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
They said that instances also happened at Landhi, Mahmoodabad, Shahrah-e-Noorjahan, Hydari, and Korangi Industrial Area.
There were women and children among the injured as well. Nevertheless, there have been no reported fatalities.
