According to a letter acquired by Fox News Digital, House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., is demanding that New York Attorney General Letita James be disbarred for her handling of the Trump Organization civil fraud trial.
Stefanik charged James of using political bias as a weapon against the former president Trump in an ethics complaint that she submitted to the Committee on Professional Standards of New York State on Tuesday.
“New York Attorney General Letitia James violated the Rules of Professional Conduct by conducting a biased investigation and prosecution of President Trump and by attacking President Trump through extrajudicial statements during a trial,” stated Stefanik.
AMID A CIVIL FRAUD CASE, A TRUMP ATTORNEY RAISES ASK ABOUT NEW YORK AG LETITIA JAMES: “SHE CAMPAIGNED ON TRUMP.”
“During the first five weeks of the October 2023 trial, Ms. James made over fifty extremely improper and biased comments on social media before I stopped counting. This complaint kindly demands that Ms. James be suspended or disbarred as an attorney and counselor-at-law, and that the Attorney Grievance Committee launch an investigation and impose an urgent interim suspension.”
Having “pursued a personal vendetta against President Trump since he first was elected” to the White House, she charged James with this.
