According to information obtained by News, EY partners were informed on Tuesday that Stuart Gregory, the managing partner for finance and transformation in the UK and Ireland, Anna Anthony, the managing partner for UK financial services, and Kath Barrow, the managing partner for assurance in the UK and Ireland, would be chosen to succeed Hywel Ball.
In compliance with modifications to the governance rules established by the Financial Reporting Council, the audit regulator, the company is separating the responsibilities of managing partner and chair.
Mr. Ball declared in June that it was time to “hand on the baton” despite having had his term extended twice.
Insiders indicated that the UK&I managing partner would essentially be nominated by an elected partner forum made up of twelve partner representatives.
There will be a different procedure used to choose a chair.
“We have exceptional leaders across our business and have a comprehensive process, run by our elected Partner Forum, to select the next EY UK & Ireland Managing Partner,” an EY spokesman said in a statement provided to News.
