Sher Afzal Marwat’s membership in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a matter of debate, but the PPP has extended an invitation to the fiery politician to become one of its members.
Makhdoom Jameel uz Zaman, a PPP MNA spokesperson, stated that the politician—who practices law by profession—has received an invitation to become a member of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s party.
Marwat’s basic party membership has apparently been canceled by the Imran Khan-founded party due to a “gross violation/breach” of discipline.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, however, called the party’s announcement “fake” and refuted the reports.
Amidst this misunderstanding, Makhdoom, the PPP’s spokesperson, announced that the PTI leader had been sent an invitation to join the party.
“Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the PPP, is committed to transforming Pakistan into a modern country. Makhdoom Jameel uz Zaman will meet Sher Afzal Marwat in Islamabad soon,” he added.
