John Cena is presumably the delighted about The Rock’s decision to join the WWE board.
“The announcement that Dwayne Johnson is now on the board of TKO and he’s going to be more involved with WWE—that warms my heart,” the Peacemaker star remarked during an appearance at the London premiere of Argylle.
It is important to note that there was a well-known rivalry between the two former WWE heavyweights. The Fast & Furious actor raised the issue at the 2023 Fastlane event of the WWE.
“If you’ve been following what I’ve tried to do, especially as of late, publicly and personally to Dwayne Johnson, I’ve stated that although I thought I was trying to do what’s best for business,”
When he attacked Dwayne Johnson for moving to Hollywood, the 46-year-old made reference to that particular argument.
He continued, owning up to his errors, saying, “I approached it incorrectly. I betrayed his confidence by asserting things about his viewpoint that I had no knowledge of.”
John went on, “And I was a fan, deep down. I desired The Rock’s return to the WWE. I took the incorrect approach, but I was willing to do anything to get The Rock back.”
