Leonard Leo cautions that the Biden-Harris plan to drastically change the Supreme Court would “backfire.”

President Biden's attempts to restructure the Supreme Court, according to conservative activist Leonard Leo, may be a good method to inspire his supporters.

he should also be aware that less progressive voters may be reminded of the issues at stake in November.

It’s a clever political ruse. Leo told the News,, “It will undoubtedly help to energize a Democratic base that’s reeling from a lot of disorder and uncertainty lately.” “But ultimately, these are the kinds of proposals that, I think, are not likely to be adopted, but if ever adopted, they would really politicize the institution.”

Over a number of decades, the powerful fundraiser and legal activist best known for his work with the Federalist Society has influenced the development of the conservative judiciary.

Leo stated in a Monday interview that Biden and Democratic nominee for vice president in 2024, Kamala Harris, who supported the drastic reform initiatives, could equally readily inspire conservatives.
“There is a chance that President Biden’s use of the Supreme Court will energize conservatives in the presidential race,” he stated. Experience has shown us that Republicans and conservatives have always been more motivated by the judicial problem than by Democrats or liberals. Thus, there’s a significant probability that by making this topic visible, the Trump campaign and Republican contenders for the Senate and House will be able to discuss how successful the Constitution, the rule of law, the Supreme Court, and other legal institutions have been in recent years, and how we do it.
