Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is expected to be named the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president, according to sources who spoke with Geo News on Tuesday.
January 2025 will mark the start of the PCB Chairman’s two-year tenure as ACC president.
Currently serving as the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah of India is the chair of the regional cricket organization.
Shah was named secretary of the Asian cricket association in 2021, and his tenure was extended by one year in January 2024. A rotational system is used by the member nations to select the ACC presidents.
Naqvi’s appointment is anticipated to become official following the ACC meeting, which is scheduled for October or November.
