Since Normani hasn’t taken the stage at the BET Awards this year, she is “devastated.”
The 28-year-old singer announced on her Instagram account on Sunday that she was forced to postpone her performance because of a “really bad” injury to her knee.
With a live performance at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles planned, Normani said, “I am more frustrated and disappointed than anyone believe me.”
“I wanted to get on here and give you guys an update letting you know that while in rehearsals for BET I had a really bad accident and injured myself,” said the Fifth Harmony alum Normani, explaining why she had to postpone her 2024 BET Awards appearance.
The Candy Paint hitmaker said, “I really wanted to give you my all on that stage, but performing would delay my healing.” “I’ve been working through my process and trying to understand how I feel about this. I am really sorry and I don’t want to let you down, but right now I need to concentrate on getting better.
“Believe me, I see and hear you. Normani concluded her letter by saying, “There is nothing more that I wanted to do than perform for you and also, get back to doing what fulfills me most—BEING ON STAGE.”
