Following the news that US President Joe Biden had tested positive for COVID-19, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari wished him well.
Following the announcement by the president of UnidosUS, a Latino civil rights organization, that Biden would not be able to attend at a scheduled event because of the diagnosis, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre revealed the 81-year-old Democrat’s positive test result.
“He is receiving a booster shot and has received vaccinations,” Jean-Pierre continued.
“Good, I feel good,” Biden said to reporters as he climbed aboard Air Force One to leave Las Vegas and return to Delaware for recovery. However, he ascended the stairs cautiously, gripping the railing firmly and stopping sometimes as he went up the stairs.
The 72-year-old prime leader used social media to wish Biden a speedy recovery from his sickness after the White House made the announcement.
Shehbaz commented on X, “Wishing President Biden @POTUS a speedy and full recovery from COVID.” Warm regards.”
