ISLAMABAD Major General (retd) Hafeezur Rahman, the chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), stated that the current problem of internet disruption in the nation will be handled by the end of October, once again ruling out the prospect of slowing down the internet services.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the PTA representative stated that social media compliance stood at 93%, with the exception of X, as reported by The News.
“The federal government is the one who decided to close X. When the government requests that we open it, we will. Although X has a relatively high compliance rate, it only conforms with 27%, according to Rahman.
The PTA chairman continued, stating that Pakistan saw seven internet outages in 2023 compared to 116 in India.
