On Wednesday, the federal government declared that Rashid Mahmood Langriyal will take over as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman.
His appointment has been officially confirmed by notification.
Prior to this, Grade 21 officer Langriyal was the Power Division’s secretary. His appointment follows Amjad Zubair Tiwana, the current chairman of the FBR, deciding to pursue an early retirement.
Prior to the official announcement, the federal cabinet received the summary of Langrial’s appointment and approved it, according to people with knowledge of the situation.
