MARDAN: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said on Saturday that the public now believes the current government came to power by using the “state institutions,” which should turn “neutral” in order for the nation to advance.
His words aligned with the message that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, shared with the public through his sister Aleema Khan, who met him a day ago in the Adiala jail.
According to Aleema, Imran told the military, “All we can ask is that you turn neutral for the good of the nation.” You maintain your neutrality and let the nation to advance on its own.She claims that Imran informed his family that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were morally reprehensible and that the current administration was deliberately attempting to incite conflict between the PTI and the military forces in order to further its own political goals.
“Imran stated that Pakistan’s military is its backbone,” Aleema cited her brother as saying. She added that the PTI founder has filed a court case to stop being turned over to the army.
Aleema stated that the previous prime minister had received several offers to leave Pakistan, but he was adamant about staying to make sure that the people and the military were not placed in opposition to one another.
