The military’s media wing said in a news release on Thursday that three retired military officials had been placed under arrest due to their purported connection to former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Faiz Hameed, who is currently facing court-martial procedures.
Three former military commanders are presently being held in military custody for “actions prejudicial to military discipline” related to the field general court martial (FGCM) proceedings against Lieutenant General (Retd.) Faiz Hameed, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
As to ISPR, the statement additionally stated that certain other retired officers and their associates are being investigated for allegedly inciting instability at the request of and in cooperation with political interests with vested interests.The military’s media affairs section stated, “Three retired officers are also in military custody for their actions prejudicial to military discipline in connection with the FGCM proceedings of Lt Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed.”
