Hours after a tribute to honor the victims of Monday’s knife assault at a dance school, which left eight other children injured and three little girls dead, there was unrest in the Merseyside town.
Police were brick-thrown at and a police truck was set on fire during the commotion outside a mosque, according to Patrick Hurley, who described it as “horrific”.
Chris McGlade of the Merseyside Police Federation reported that a “sustained and vicious attack” resulted in the injuries of over fifty police officers.
According to Merseyside Police, English people may have been involved in the violence.
Mr. Hurley claimed that those “from outside the town” were leading the “riot” on the show.
He said the “deaths of three little kids for their own political purposes” had been caused by the “thugs who had got the train in.”
According to Mr. McGlade, the “courageous officers” who had been hurt were the same ones who were attempting to cope with the “unimaginable tragedy” of Monday’s incident.
