In a second case involving Toshakhana presents, the Islamabad High Court heard a petition on Thursday contesting the detention of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
Judges Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb and Arbab Muhammad Tahir presided over the hearing, and the charge sheet from the previous reference against Imran Khan was presented to the court.
Justice Aurangzeb brought up the fact that Graff jewelry was the only charge included in the prior charge sheet during the hearings. He said that the PTI founder ought to show that he had good intentions by helping with the inquiry. Justice Aurangzeb stated, “The NAB had previously asked you for a jewelry set, but you did not provide it.”
“You aren’t even giving out the gifts right now. You’re going to be incredibly reckless.”Is it true that you are not joining the investigation?” Justice Aurangzeb questioned the PTI founder’s cooperation with the investigation.
The Islamabad High Court has sent a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in response to the plea, asking a response by August 8.
