Supporters of Khan want to get “revenge”
Written in Quetta, Balochistan, by Syed Ali Shah
Supporters of Imran Khan are eager to vote in what many are calling one of the most contentious elections in decades on Thursday in Balochistan, the least populous province of Pakistan.
According to Afzal Khan, a Quetta-based PTI supporter, “we will exact revenge on rulers through this vote,” Al Jazeera reported.
“I will definitely vote for Nawaz.”
In spite of the fact that this is Nawaz Sharif’s only second election in twenty years, he is widely anticipated to win and serve as prime minister for a fourth time in Khan’s absence.
“I’ve spent my entire life in this region,” Ali Akbar declared to Al Jazeera.
“My father and grandfather were all seen voting for Nawaz Sharif.” He has also shown kindness to our city and to us. I will vote for him, of course,” the 36-year-old technician continued.
