PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) law and order situation is getting worse, and the All Parties Conference (APC) has expressed concern about it, calling it “dangerous.”
Following an hours-long discussion, the APC released a statement pointing to a sharp increase in violence over the previous year, with more than 70 security personnel killed in the last month alone.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which controls the province, did not attend the meeting, which was attended by 16 parties at the Governor House under the direction of KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
The APC blamed incompetent federal and provincial governance for the more than 200 deaths in this year’s Kurram turmoil.
