OTTAWA: Following his Liberal Party’s election victory, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney earned a significant political victory on Monday.
Unprecedented in Canadian history, Carney, who has a knack for assuming leadership positions at trying times, was able to obtain a term as prime minister despite never having held a seat in parliament.
“A crisis is when I’m most helpful. During the campaign, he declared, “I’m not that good at peacetime.”
For the first time in Canadian history, Carney was able to clinch a term as prime minister despite never having held a position in parliament.
Despite having no prior government experience, he persuaded voters that his experience with financial difficulties qualified him to guide Canada through the trade battle with US President Donald Trump.
