Fresh video footage, shown in a Michigan courtroom on Monday during the prosecution of Ethan Crumbley, the shooter of Oxford High School, and his mother Jennifer Crumbley, depicts the entire Crumbley family being questioned by law enforcement following Ethan’s 2021 killing of four students.
On November 30, 2021, at Oxford High School, when he was only 15 years old, Ethan shot and killed four students: Tate Myre, 16, Justin Shilling, 16, Hana St. Juliana, 14, and Madisyn Baldwin, 17. Seven additional victims were also injured. Jennifer and her husband James Crumbley, who is being tried separately, are both charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter.
James Crumbley tells Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies, “He’s a perfect kid,” during an interview conducted following the school massacre. Jennifer says that her kid, who is fifteen, has “never done anything bad.”
Photos of a gruesome sketch that Ethan did in class the morning of the shooting, right before he pulled a gun out of his backpack and shot eleven victims, are displayed by Jennifer Crumbley.

James and Jennifer allegedly met with school officials that morning after Ethan was summoned into the guidance counselor’s office to address his drawing, which featured a picture of a gun along with the words “Help me,” “Blood everywhere,” and “My life is useless,” according to Oakland County prosecutors.
