In an interview with Fox News Digital, former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang discussed the risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) and claimed that not nearly enough is being done by the government to foresee its possible negative consequences.
“AI is a very, very powerful technology and set of tools and there’s nothing intrinsically positive or negative about tools, but there is something positive and negative about how tools can be used,” Yang told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. We’re just getting started, but there’s already a robocall with President Biden’s voice trying to discourage participation.”
“Quite soon,” Yang remarked. “We’re not going to be able to tell up from down and left from right and if people show you a video of me doing something heinous, I’ll just shrug and be like, didn’t happen and that could be the best defense before too long.”
Yang continued by stating that “our institutions just aren’t in the least prepared for AI” and that there “going to be dramatic changes that accompany it.”

Since last year, FOX Business reported that 27% of employment are at high danger of automation due to the AI boom, experts have long warned that AI will result in severe job losses in the United States.
According to a recent survey, 40% of the global workforce would probably need to retrain over the next three years as businesses adopt artificial intelligence systems like Chat GPT.
“When I was running for president in 2020, I was talking about the job loss, which I’m still very, very concerned about,” Yang stated. “Approximately 40% of jobs worldwide might be impacted, according to the IMF
