Three out of four Pakistanis are expected to accept the poll results, which will shape the nation’s future for the next five years, according to a survey conducted by the French market research firm Ipsos. The country is gearing up for the general elections on February 8th, in which over 128 million eligible voters are expected to cast ballots.
According to the article, out of all Pakistanis, “only 7% would not accept the results,” whilst 76% are expected to accept the outcome of the election.
17% of people fall somewhere in the middle of accepting and not accepting the results.
In the meantime, the report’s demographic study asserted that acceptability rose with age and rurality.
“Islamabadians are least likely to accept the election results,” it said.
