For the most of Thursday, South Wales, Leicester, and southwest England are under a yellow weather warning.
The Met Office has issued a warning for up to 2 cm of rain, with the possibility of up to 4 cm in mountainous regions. The warning is in effect from 11 am to 11:59 pm on Thursday.
According to the meteorological service, there will probably be delays in bus and train services, and drivers will be impacted by road flooding.
In addition, a second yellow warning was issued for the Leicester region, effective from Thursday at 2 p.m. until Friday at 3 a.m.
The public has also been cautioned by the Environment Agency not to drive, bike, or walk across floods when there is a lot of rain.
On Thursday, there will be bright or sunny spells in other places, particularly in southeast England.
With only a few showers and some rain in the west, the UK will see drier and sunnier conditions as the weekend draws near.
