A Sussex terraced house family contacted the Lost Bass search project after they remembered they had an ancient bass guitar in their attic. The family had received an appeal for information from the Lost Bass search project.
In December, it was reunited with Sir Paul.
According to his representative, Paul’s 1961 Höfner 500/1 bass guitar—which was taken in 1972—has been returned after the Lost Bass project was introduced last year.
“The guitar has been authenticated by Höfner and Paul is incredibly grateful to all those involved.”
