In addition to establishing himself in the magnificent American Southwest, the “Field of Dreams” actor is constructing a cutting-edge film studio in St. George, Utah.
The opening of Territory Film Studios, a few miles outside of Zion National Park in southern Utah, will mark his next significant professional milestone.
Several buildings will make up Costner’s studios, which will be set against the background of the Pine Valley Mountains.
One step closer to finalizing their divorce, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have agreed to forgo parenting classes. St. George Mayor Michele Randall revealed to the News that Territory Film Studios hopes to “break ground in the spring or summer,” contingent upon permitting procedures.
The studios will have about 32,000 square feet of production offices, 51,000 square feet of production warehouse space, and 70,000 square feet of sound stages once they are finished.
There will also be an on-site catering service and a sit-down restaurant on the lot.
Joyce Kelly, the Greater Zion Tourism Office’s sales and events manager, told News Business that Costner’s “Horizon” epic served as inspiration for his wish to carry on effortlessly producing within the region.
