The 35-year-old High School Musical actress was one of the first celebrities to arrive at the Academy Awards, co-hosting the official pre-show presentation with Dancing With the Stars star Julianne Hough.
Hudgens stepped up the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, wearing a sleek black gown that highlighted her pregnancy as she blew kisses to photographers.
Hudgens married news player Cole Tucker in Mexico in December of last year, and this will be their first child.
The pregnancy announcement comes just days after Hudgens slammed “rude” speculation over whether she was expecting a kid last year.
She stated on Wednesday’s news podcast episode: “I actually just had a run-in with the public taking control of their perception of me in a nasty manner.
“I went out on my bachelorette party in October and shared a video of myself, and there are all these comments.
