The race director for the Tour of Britain races is Rod Ellingworth.

At the end of 2023, the 51-year-old announced his resignation as deputy team principal of the Ineos Grenadiers.

Ellingworth, who worked at the Olympics in Beijing, London, and Rio, and assisted in founding British Cycling’s academy in 2004, is back with the organization.

“British Cycling has been a huge part of my life and is in many ways like a second family for me,” he stated.

“I’m learning a new set of skills and a new role in the sport, but other race directors have inspired and supported me.”

“I’ve traveled a significant amount of my life to attend the biggest races in the sport, and I’ll be utilizing all of experience.
