Shazia Marri, head of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), said on Monday that the government should consult with its allies on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arrangement.

Marri threw a salvo at political opponents, stating, “It was in the past that one person used to talk about opting for suicide rather than approaching the international lender.”

“He approached the IMF and agreed on all the conditions imposed by the international lender,” she went on to say.

Marri went on to say, “There is no possibility of making a change in the NFC Award.”

The PTI wants turmoil in the country.

A few days ago, PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah launched a new salvo at the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement, Shah said: “The PTI founder’s decision to write a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to stop the financial assistance to Pakistan shows his mentality.”

“This conduct is comparable to purposely dragging the country’s economy backward. “The PTI only wants anarchy and unrest in the country,” Shah claimed.

“The PTI has shown irresponsibility by opting to write a letter to the international lender,” the finance minister stated.
