Roses are not something Kathie Lee Gifford is prepared to give out on “The Golden Bachelorette.”
In an interview with News, Gifford stated she has no interest in the dating show, despite her former “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb suggesting it to her.
“Thank God, no,” she said.
This is the issue. What do you get when you enter a hot tub? “Illnesses, illnesses,” Gifford continued. And when you start kissing someone on whom you have no idea where their lips have been, you know what happens? It’s just not smart. Therefore, they don’t give you much time before they want you in the hot tub unless you have built a trusting relationship with them.
The Roma Downey-produced television program, which is based on the best-selling book series by Karen Kingsbury, centers on the adventures of the Baxter family and emphasizes faith.
Since their first meeting on “Touched by an Angel,” Gifford and Downey have been close friends for a long time. The proud mother was thrilled that her daughter would be collaborating with Downey.
