In a huge step, China, an all-weather friend, has once again come to the rescue of cash-strapped Pakistan, with Vice-Premier Zhang Guoqing stating on Friday that Beijing will help Islamabad stabilize its financial situation.
Guoqing made the statements while meeting with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the First Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels.
During the huddle, both parties emphasized the importance of Pakistan and China’s long-standing collaboration in civil nuclear technology.
China’s deputy premier and finance minister praised the longstanding “Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” and unwavering friendship as an example and unique partnership.
FM Dar reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing support for the One-China Policy.
