Having played in all five games during the Six Nations, the 37-year-old called it a day on his 101 caps for England.
As a “freak athlete,” the scrum-half was a pleasure to work with, according to Millard. He thinks Care may contribute to the Premiership team for one more season.
According to Millard, “We don’t want to put too much pressure on him,” according to Radio London.
“He’s got a big family, and he’s got decisions to make, but we’re very hopeful that we can get there shortly.”
Since making his debut for the Harlequins in 2006, Care has played 371 games, scored 110 tries, and finished his remarkable career with two Premiership titles.
Along with being a member of the 2023 Rugby World Cup squad that placed third in France, he has won three Six Nations titles with his nation.
“What I love about news is that he’s got those old school rugby values that are pretty cool to pass down to Marcus [Smith] and the younger guys,” Millard said.
