Although Kim Mulkey and Angel Reese’s relationship appeared to have some hiccups this season, the head coach made it apparent that she harbored affections for the potential WNBA star.
Reese was thought to be suspended after missing four games earlier this season, and Mulkey frequently refrained from commenting on the reason for Reese’s absences.
But Reese guided LSU to the Elite Eight, where they fell short against Iowa in a rematch of the national title game from the previous year.
Reese declared for the WNBA Draft approximately two days after the loss.
After Reese fouled out of the game against the Hawkeyes, Mulkey and Reese hugged for a considerable amount of time. Mulkey then honored Reese on Instagram.
