RAWALPINDI: According to a statement released by the military’s media wing on Wednesday, Army Chief General Asim Munir asked “all stakeholders” to “remain vigilant against adversarial elements seeking to destabilize the region” while celebrating Eid ul Fitr with troops in North Waziristan.
Gen. Munir celebrated Eid with the front-line troops in Miran Shah and Spinwam, in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). Together with the soldiers, the army commander offered Eid prayers to start his full day of visits. He prayed for “enduring stability and prosperity of Pakistan.”
The troops received warm wishes for Eid from the chief of army staff (COAS), who also praised them for their steadfast commitment to serving the country.A “comprehensive briefing on operational readiness and the prevailing security landscape, with a specific focus on border security measures along the Pak-Afghan Border” was also provided to the army chief during the visit.
