At least seven police officers were hurt when police on Wednesday night stopped a terrorist attack on the Jhangi check post in Dera Ghazi Khan, according to police, who spoke with Geo News.
The Jhangi check station is situated in the Taunsa area on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Punjab border, according to Regional Police Officer Sajjad Hassan Khan.
He said that after the attempt was repelled by police, the assailants escaped into the night with the intention of taking the check post.
The attack featured between fifteen and twenty terrorists, according to Punjab Police.
“After two months, a second attack on a check post”
According to Punjab Police, this was the second attack on the checkpost in as many months.
