Co-star Chris Hemsworth is getting confirmation from Robert Downey Jr. that he nailed the role of Thor.
For many years, the pair portrayed their enduring roles as Iron Man and Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Chris, however, recently stated that he felt his god of thunder hero was less developed than the others and that he found it “frustrating” to play the heroic role.
“At times, I thought of myself as the team’s security guard. I used to think that everyone else had way better stuff when I read their lines. It’s more enjoyable for them. How is my persona faring? It was constantly, “You’re wearing the wig.” You possess the muscle. The costume is yours. Is there any lighting? Yes, I’m a part of this great thing, but I could easily be replaced,” he remarked.
Robert, on the other hand, wants Chris to understand that Thor was a difficult figure to play and that he did the role justice.
The Oppenheimer star said Vanity Fair, “First off, Thor as a character was super tricky to adapt — lots of implied limitations — but he and Ken Branagh figured out how to transcend, make him somehow relatable but godlike.”
