Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the outspoken chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, criticised the PML-N-led federal government on Thursday and threatened to march towards Islamabad if the “Centre does not clear” his province’s debts promptly.

The fiery PTI leader added, “They [the centre] are making a mistake by denying the rights of the province,” while speaking at an event in KP.

The top executive of the province continued by saying that the people of the province would support him when he took to the streets.

“Pay off my province’s debt as soon as you can; if you don’t, nobody will even be grateful,” he said to the Shehbaz Sharif-led administration in Islamabad.

“I’ll request that the federal government not treat me lightly.”

Gandapur believed that since the province shares its resources with the entire nation, KP should be granted its rightful rights.

Additionally, the CM declared that he will stop at nothing to get his province’s rights back from the federal government. “Until our rights are not granted, we will not allow you to sit in peace.”

The prime minister implored the federal government to address his province’s complaints.

He promised to pass laws in KP to uphold good government and combat corruption. In order to prevent injustices, he pledged to fortify institutions. He also promised to level the playing field between impoverished and developed neighborhoods.

As for the allegations against former prime minister Imran Khan, Gandapur declared, “The PTI founder has been the victim of injustice.”
