According to a spokeswoman on Friday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has released a schedule for the month-long flight operations for the Hajj in 2024, which will start on May 9 and end on June 9.
According to the spokesperson, the majority of flights from May 24 to June 9 will land at the Jeddah airport, with all flights scheduled for the first 15 days landing at the Madina airport.
On the first day of the planned operation, the nation would operate 11 special flights to bring 2,160 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. These passengers would include 330 from Karachi via two flights, 680 from Islamabad via three flights, 670 from Lahore via three flights, 329 from Multan via two flights, and 151 from Sialkot via a single flight.
The first Hajj flight from Balochistan will then depart on May 11 from Quetta and on May 27 from Sukkur.
According to the ministry, Pakistan will run 259 special Hajj flights for more than 68,000 pilgrims who are enrolled in the government program. The special operation will end on June 9.
