Fans of Young Sheldon received an early warning from Emily Osment.
This Thursday marks the Big Bang Theory prequel’s closing episode, and the most recent episode finally revealed Sheldon’s father George Cooper’s (played by Lance Barber) passing.
Even while the Chuck Lorre production had previously revealed that the father had passed away when Sheldon (Ian Armitage) was just 14 years old, the loss of the cherished character nevertheless devastated many viewers, and things were only going to get worse.
Three seasons into the program, Emily Osment—who plays Mandy McAllister—warned fans, saying, “I can’t wait for what’s next, but I definitely want to give [Young] Sheldon its due.” Your heart will be genuinely broken by the conclusion.
