The AJK administration declared Monday, May 13, to be a holiday in Muzaffarabad government offices and educational institutions due to anti-inflation protests, as reported on Sunday by the News.
Due to the Joint Action Committee of Azad Kashmir’s wheel jam and shutter-down strike, all district government offices in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, would be closed on Monday, May 13, according to an announcement.
The notification stated that the employees would have trouble getting to the office because of the wheel jam strike.
In a similar vein, Muzaffarabad’s universities, colleges, and other public and private educational establishments will also be closed on Monday, May 13.
The government of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) declared summer breaks for all educational institutions located within the region.
The statement states, “All public and private educational institutions will stay closed from June 10 to August 13.
